William O. Richey
SPRINGFIELD — The memorial service for William O, Richey Sr.. 68, formerly of
Fontana, Calif, and Windsor, who died Saturday morning at the Veterans
Administration Hospital in White River Junction after a long illness, will be held
at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Bellows Falls.
He was born Dec. 28, 1928, in Denver, Colo., son of William E. and Beryl L. (Smith)
Richey.
Mr. Richey served in the U.S. Army for six years, stationed in Korea during the
Korean conflict. Mr. Richey was employed for 10 years by Cone-Blanchard Machine
Co. in Windsor.
Survivors include his wife. Judith A. (Dense) Richey of Springfield, whom he married
Feb. 2, 1957, in Denver; four sons, William Richey Jn of Springfield, Lavern L. Heist of
Bellows Falls, Gary A Richey of Hammondsville and Denny D Richey of Newport, N ,H.;
four daughters, Judy L. Richey. Karen Richey and Kathy A. Richey, all of Springfield,
and Laurel A Demond of Weathersfield: two brothers, Richey Richey of Boise. Idaho,
and Gary Richey of Caliente. Nev.; two sisters, June Rensslear of Oregon and Annette
Richey of Colorado Springs, Colo,; 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and
several nieces and nephews.
The Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.
