Wiley Etheridge enlisted in the war of 1812 in Hope Jones Co., Ga. on Nov. 21st 1814, He served as Corporal in Capt. Isaac Hall's Co., was discharged Mar. 8th 1815, He received bounty land grants dated Mar. 1, 1853 and Dec. 4, 1856.
Wiley's first marriage was to Elizabeth Pace, daughter of William and Drucilla Pace. Wiley was appointed administrator of his father in laws estate.
Wiley Joined Ulcanush Baptist Church in Clarke Co., Al. July 7, 1824. Wiley was the church clerk by Oct. 1826. Wiley was dismissed by letter from Ulcanush Baptist in 1836 and he moved to south west Marengo Co., Al. where he and his wife Elizabeth joined the Nanafalia Baptist church by letter in 1836. Elizabeth Pace Etheridge died in 1841.
Wiley Etheridge and Sarah Davis were both widowed when they married in 1844.
Wiley & Sarah Etheridge were dismissed by letter from the Nanafalia Baptist church December 2, 1866. Wiley was on the 1870 Clarke County Alabama Census, apparently Sarah died between 1866-1870. Wiley died sometime during the 1870's. Probably buried in Clarke County, Al.
