This is Poppys Red Foxfire, a little Papillion that we brought home in February of 1992. He was very smart and I trained him to do many tasks. He never caused any trouble, he never chewed or tore any thing up that was not his. He would bring his toys to the den when he was 8 months old and just play with them. He use to watch me cook and when I'd start putting the food on the table he would run and bark for Dave to come to dinner. He would eat beside me with his own bowl & did not beg for our food. He was perfect & he loved people so much. I use to take him every where with me. When we came in from being away from home he always came to me first & then Pa. He was not a lap dog and not a licker, but he would occasionally give you a little kiss. He was born in Iowa and I kept in touch with his breeder all of his life. He just got old & started getting weak & he had a heart murmur. His heart was just barely beating and it caused his kidneys to start shutting down. We made the decision when he stopped eating on Saturday & Sunday, that it was time to help him out of this world. It was a hard decision. His little personality was still there but he was hanging on by a thread. Our Vet checked him out on Monday and he said he had lost weight and that's big when you only weigh 8 pounds. Poppy was so dehydrated that he could not eat. I wanted to take him home to die on his own but the Vet said it would not be easy for Poppy, so he said (It's time.) So we let the Vet give him a shot of relaxation and we spent time with him & asked him to go ahead with the other shot. I saw his eyes go blank in 2 seconds, and he was gone. But the Vet checked his heart with an EKG and he said his heart is still beating. I just leaned over and told Poppy to let go and run to Michael. That Michael would take care of him until I came there too. He let go.

In Isaiah it says, the lamb will lie down with the lion.

Do I believe dogs go to heaven? I SURE KNOW ONE THAT IS THERE!

POPPY IS.
