GALIVANTS FERRY | Eva Pearl Bell Turner, 81, wife of the late W.A. Turner, of Hwy. 712, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at her residence.

Mrs. Turner was born in Horry County, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Irvan Andrew Bell and Ida Jane Strickland Bell. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church. Mrs. Turner will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by one brother, Andrew Lee Bell; and four sisters, Pauline Hamilton, Esther Martin, Martha Tyler and Letha Price.

Surviving are one son, Jimmy Stevens and wife, Kerri, of Galivants Ferry; four grandchildren, Kortni Stevens, Harley Stevens, Britni Stevens and Kayley Boullion; one sister, Dollie B. Todd and husband, Joseph S. Todd, of Conway; several nieces and nephews; two brothers-in-law, Ethell Tyler and T.M. Turner; one sister-in-law, Elnita Rabon; and a special friend, Joyce Neely.
Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2009 at Berea Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Jennerette officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the funeral home.
