Crystal Dawn Newman, 30, of Madison, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
She was born Sept. 20, 1979, in Scott County, the daughter of Debra Angel Sawyer. She was raised in Scott County and was a graduate of Scott County High School. She had lived in Madison the past 10 years and had worked at Pizza Hut and Sandstone Industries. She enjoyed singing, reading and bowling.
She is survived by her mother and step father, Debra Angel Sawyer and Rodney Dixon of Madison; one sister, Mary Caroline Newman of Madison; her grandparents, Virgil and Iola Angel of Scottsburg, and Elsie Weir of Lexington; one aunt; and several step aunts, step uncles, cousins and other relatives.
The funeral was at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial was in Scottsburg Cemetery.
