Both military rank and birth year inscriptions on gravestone are incorrect; vital records from Stow, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts (shown to right) state that Benjamin Fuller was born 11 Feb 1741/42. His service record (NARA M881, COMP MIL SERV RECS, ROLL #893) confirm he entered and left military service as a Private.
