Fincher, Jr., Mr. Joseph A., age 84, of Ocala, Florida passed away on Thursday, February, 16, 2012, at Sylvia's Hospice House. He was born in Micanopy, Florida and moved to Ocala in 1969 from Norfolk, Virginia, where he retired from the Damneck Guided Missle Base, after serving over (21) years in the U.S. Navy, during W.W. II. After retirement, he worked for over (30) years as a meat cutter for several local Grocery Stores. He was an active member of Central Church of Christ Church and was a member of V.F.W. Post #4209, of Ocala, FL. He also volunteered his ministry at several nursing homes in the area. Joseph loved hunting and fishing but most of all, loved spending time with his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Fincher. He is survived by his loving wife of (20) years, Barbara J. "Bobbie" Fincher of Ocala, FL.; his son, Darrell Fincher of Ocala, FL.; his (2) daughters, Mary Ellen Ralph of Dunnellon, FL. and Martha Joe Grubbs of Fitzgerald, GA.; his (2) brothers, Marvin and Billy Fincher, both of Ocala, FL.; his sister, Peggy Williams of Ocala, FL.; his (5) grandchildren, his (15) great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A "Celebration of Life Service" will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Roberts Funeral homes, Downtown Chapel, 606 S.W. 2nd Avenue, Ocala, FL. 34471, with interment to follow with Military Honors in Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, on Sunday, February 19, 2012, from 2:00 until 4:00 PM.
