Hazel Josephine Crichlow, 88, of St. Augustine, died May 24, 2003, at Flagler Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of St. Augustine. Born on Aug. 11, 1914, daughter of late Bartow O. and Antoinette J. Crichlow. She was a 1934 graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and a physical education teacher and coach at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind for 25 years, retiring in 1976. She also coached the St. Joseph Academy girls basketball team in 1945-48. She served in the Women's Army Air Corps in 1941-45. She was of Catholic faith.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, the Rev. Father Terrance Morgan, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. Visitation 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with prayers at 7 p.m. today at Craig Funeral Home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Mary Rogero, and her brothers Lloyd Crichlow and Bartow Crichlow Jr.

Survivors include her niece Karen Bishop and her husband Charles, and their children Heather, Brian, Kimberly and Travis Bishop. Nephews, Don Crichlow and his daughter Katy Crichlow, and Glenn Rogero, all of St. Augustine, her nephew Wayne Rogero of Tampa, Fla.
