Son of Henry Marion Crawford and Mary Fedelia Minks. Albert was born in rural Putnam County Missouri. When he was small his family moved across the state border to Centerville, Iowa. In 1910 Albert married Ivah Hellyer. Albert and Ivah lived in Centerville, Iowa for the majority of their lives. In their retirement years they moved to California. Albert and Ivah had only one child, Paul Winchel Crawford. Although Ivah's name is listed on the gravestone, she is not buried beside Albert. Ivah is buried in the New Concord Cemetery in New Concord, Ohio.
