Wanda June Melton Decker, of Riceville, died Sunday night, Nov. 8, 2009.

A lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Marshall C. and Lucy Key Melton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Glen Decker; one son, Danny Decker; and three sisters, Ruby Hammonds, Martha Heath and Alice Calk. She was a member of East Athens Baptist Church, a graduate of McMinn County High school and was a sales representative at Proffitt's for several years.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Vicky and Tom Kimsey of Cleveland; one son, David Decker of Athens; three granddaughters, Allison Decker of Athens, Elizabeth Delude of Cleveland, and Kristin Nelson of Benton; three grandsons, Drew Decker of Knoxville, and Tommy Kimsey and Kevin Buttrey and his wife, Kelly, all of Cleveland; three great-grandchildren, Karaline McCall, Landri Nelson and Kierra Delude; and one sister, Rachel Mahoney of Riceville.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Jerry Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Pete Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Jim Hammonds, Tommy Kimsey, Richard Leamon, Kevin Buttrey, Matt Hammonds and Drew Decker.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Wanda June Melton Decker, of Riceville, died Sunday night, Nov. 8, 2009.
