Nellie Watson

SCOTTOWN - Nellie M. Watson, 97, of Scottown passed away Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at the Scenic Hills Care Center. The Lecta native was born July 31, 1907, the daughter of the late William T. and Louverna Roby Clark. She was the wife of the late Ivan C. Watson. She was a homemaker.

She also was preceded in death by two sons, Dillard Watson and David Watson; a daughter, Audrey Wallace; four brothers, Robert Clark, Ivan Clark, Luther Clark and Arthur Clark; one sister, Fannie Clark; and two grandsons, Gregory Watson and Richard "Duke" Watson.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Dorothy Watson of Scottown, Augustine and Carol Watson of Columbus, Richard and Geneva Watson of Willow Wood and Bernard and Rena Watson of Scottown; two daughters and a son-in-law, Avanell Ferguson of Pickerington and Geraldine and Charles Clay of Gahanna; two daughters-in-law, Helen Watson of Groveport and Carol Watson of Columbus; a son-in-law, Robert Wallace of Columbus; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Willis Funeral Home in Gallipolis, with the Revs. William Payne and Amos Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
