Antoine François, Comte de Fourcroy was a French chemist and a contemporary of Antoine Lavoisier. He collaborated with Lavoisier, Guyton de Morveau, and Claude Berthollet on the Méthode de nomenclature chimique, a work that helped standardize chemical nomenclature.
