J. M. Simmons, who states DOB 1841, has a CSA pension application on line in the GA Archives virtual vault. He says he enlisted in Aug. 1861 in Brunswick, GA and served about 16 months with Co. A of the 12th Regt. GA militia. He got typhoid fever and was sent home. On the front of the application folder is written " See Also Co I of the 26th GA"..
