James A. Storz, 73, of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 11, 2009.

Mr. Storz was born June 26, 1936, in Star City (Lincoln County) to the late Johnnie Lee and Clara Jane Tucker Storz. He was reared and received his education in Pine Bluff, where he graduated from Watson Chapel High School in 1957. After high school, he attended Henderson State College. Mr. Storz joined the United States Army and served for four years before being honorably discharged in 1962.

Mr. Storz worked for Mid-America Packaging Incorporated for 39 years, before retiring in 2001. He was a well-known cabinet-maker and the owner of Storz Cabinet Shop.

He was a member of Good Faith-Carr United Methodist Church. He was also an avid Razorback fan and a member of the Tusk Hog Razorback Foundation. He was a 32nd Degree Mason.

His survivors include his wife of 52 years, Catherine West Storz, whom he married on July 4, 1957, in Bearden, Arkansas; two daughters, Debbie Stephens of White Hall and Terri (Dale) Hornbeck of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Brittni Stephens of Fayetteville, Bracy Stephens of White Hall, Haley and Hannah Grace Hornbeck of Little Rock; a brother, Johnny L. (Edith) Storz, Jr. Of Odessa, Texas; a sister, Cathey Storz Johnson of Jefferson; sister-in-law, Ellen Storz of Jefferson; brother-in-law, Woody (Donna) West of Pine Bluff; sister-in-law, Kay (Steve) Kelly of Little Rock; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Carroll Storz.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 13, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at Robinson's.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 14, 2009, 2:00 PM, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Tony Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Fitzhugh Cemetery.

The family has requested that memorials be made to Good Faith-Carr United Methodist Church, 3703 Ryburn Road, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603, Hospice Angels, 3801 Camden Road, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603, or to the donor's favorite charity.
