Tipton- Grover Cleveland Patterson, 74, 421 N. East St., died at 10 am Saturday in the Tipton County Hospital, after a several month illness.

Born Sept. 9, 1893 in Gans, Okla., he was the son of John and Isabell (Collier) Patterson.

On Oct. 3, 1937, in Sallisaw, OKLA., he was married to Ruby Cameron, who survives.

He came to Tipton in 1947. He was a building construction worker and the past few years he owned and operated a bicycle repair shop.

Surviving with his wife are five sons. Earl Patterson, Orlando, Fla. Amos Patterson, Bloomington and Winniford, Marion and Herman Patterson are at home, his mother of Sallisaw, Okla., two brothers, Leon Patterson and Joel Patterson and a sister, Mrs. Lilly Long all of Sallisaw, another sister, Mrs. W. H. Bricker, Tulsa, Okla. and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Leatherman-Morris Funeral Home here with the Rev. Lawrence Hufhand officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Monday.
