Minnie's family was living at 19 Laurel Alley, Allegheny City, at the time of her birth. The 1920 Census had Minnie living with her mother at 1310 Western Avenue, and working as a clerk with the Standard Underground Cable Company; she worked there with her younger sister Mary. With one exception, city directories showed her working at the cable company through 1928 when she no longer was listed. That exception was 1927 when she was an inspector for Vitagraph Inc. & Warner Bros. and lived at 1710 Carson East.

The 1930 Census listed Minnie as a bookkeeper with a printing company. Her brother B. Wilson was also shown as working for a printing company. Later that year, she married Clarence C. Allen. We don't know the date or location of the wedding as that part of the Allegheny County records is missing. However, the marriage application was dated 13 November 1930.

Minnie died 02 May 1949 from a cerebral hemorrhage. She died intestate (no valid will) and without issue (no children). Her obituary was in The Pittsburgh Press of 04 May 1949, and appears below.
