Katherine Miller, 91, of Albany died Sunday. She was born in White Cloud, Mich., to Albert and Mary (Troyer) Miller. She grew up in Limon, Colo., where she finished her schooling. She moved with her family to Harrisburg in 1932.

Miss Miller was a care giver and did housekeeping for new mothers and their babies in their homes. She moved to Sweet Home in 1942 and to Albany in the late 1940s. She went to Virginia to spend two years in Bible study at Eastern Mennonite College

She moved to Crabtree and was a cook at the Mennonite home from 1962 until the mid-1980s. After retiring from cooking, she cleaned homes and doctor's offices until 1997. Miss Miller belonged to the Fairview Mennonite Church. Her hobbies included raising flowers, painting, crafts, reading and cooking.

Surviving are brothers Bill of Albany, Abram of Estacada and Enos of Namino, British Columbia; sisters Elizabeth Horst of Albany and Lillie Mae Burkholder of Stewarts Draft, Va.

Brother Albert Jr. died earlier.

Visitation will be until 4 p.m. today at AAsum Funeral Home. A celebration of Mrs. Miller's life will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fairview Mennonite Church, with Pastor Al Burkey officiating. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Mennonite Home Foundation, 5353 Columbus St. S.E., Albany, Ore. 97321.
