"FRED ABBLEY DIES"

"Fred P. Abbley, 59, Biloxi florist, died at his home 224 Couevas street, at 3:30 p.m. yesterday after an illness of several years. He was a native of Biloxi and a lifelong Coast resident. During his early manhood he was employed in the seafood business with the Gorenflo Canning Co. After he married he entered the theatre business and operated shows on the Coast at Gulfport, Pascagoula, Moss Point, Bay St. Louis and Ocean Springs. About 15 years ago he retired from this field and 12 years ago he entered the floral business at Biloxi. He was a member of the Biloxi Lodge of Elks. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Jos. Brocato, New Orleans, and Mrs. Michael Emile, Biloxi; two brothers, Emile, Biloxi, and Rudolph, Pass Christian; three sisters, Mrs. J. P. McCabe, Mrs. H. E. Haise and Miss Laura Abbley, three grandchildren and other relatives. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday from the O'Keefe Funeral Parlors and at the Church of the Nativity. Burial will be in Biloxi cemetery."
