Funeral services for Mr. Burton "Burt" Allie McFarlain, 71, will be held at noon, Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008 in Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder with Bro. Mike McLaurin and Bro. Winfred "Snow" Ramour officiating.
Burial and a 3:30 p.m. graveside service will follow at St. Jules Catholic Church Cemetery in Evangeline, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 3-9 p.m. on Monday and will continue from 8 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday.
Mr. McFarlain died on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 at in DeRidder.
He was a United States Army veteran and worked as a pipefitter in the oil refining industry.
Burton leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Patricia McFarlain of DeRidder; his children, David (Barbara) McFarlain, Shannon (Cheryl) McFarlain, Tiffany McFarlain and fiancé Scotty Crader, Marlon (Patricia) McFarlain and Keith McFarlain; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Lynn (Brenda) Vaughn, Leah (Frank) Blumling, Lori (Kevin) Ebersohl and Lene' (James) Stephenson; and nine step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Gertie Lecklet, Abbie Cart, Margaret Dorohty, Earline Deville, Erwin McFarlain, Durphy McFarlain and his parents, Westley and Ermine McFarlain.
