He was the son of Sherman and Lenora Rowell Edwards. He spent his early years near Indianola where he attended high school. He later became employed at Dual Drilling Company as a rough-neck for about 10 years, then to Dutton Welding for a while before he became self-employed as a carpenter. He married Terry Lynn Moody on Dec. 3, 1980, in Chickasha, and they had two sons. He enjoyed karaoke singing, listening to music and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his mother, Lenora Edwards, of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Shannon and Ashaleigh Edwards, of McAlester, and Cody Edwards, of Hartshorne; a granddaughter, Braylee Edwards, of Hartshorne; a grandson, Wyatt Edwards, of McAlester, and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Alvin and Sirena Edwards, of McAlester, Charles and Jennifer Edwards, of McAlester, and Robert Edwards, of McAlester. He was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Nichols, Kevin Dean, James Walters, Ted Frederick, Bruce Hill, Billy Rowell, Maverick Rowell, Shannon Rowell, Barry Mayo, Dan Major, Kevin Kebin, David Dunham; and Roy Westbrook. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tannehill Cemetery Pavilion with the Rev. Michael Billy officiating. Burial will be at Tannehill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
