Paper: Deseret News, The (Salt Lake City, UT) Deceased: DEATH: OREL ALLRED GREENIG Date: June 30, 1994 Orel Allred Greenig, 97, enduring to the end, passed away peacefully June 28, 1994, in Sandy. Born September 5, 1896, in Wallsburg, Utah, to Franklin Allred and Polly Bigelow Allred, now deceased. She has three living brothers, Frank, Daniel and George. Deceased are brothers, Reed and James; also sisters, Mae, Bessie and Tressa. She married John A. Greenig February 6, 1918; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Her husband preceded her in death July 14, 1960; also one daughter, Marilyn Mae Ruf, August 25, 1980. She is survived by two sons: John F. (Verna) of Moab, Utah; and Ned A., Salt Lake City; two daughters, Doris G. Stagg, Sandy; and Jane (Fred) Paulson, Santa Barbara, California; 22 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life, she fulfilled her many callings in a valiant and dedicated manner. She served a full-time mission at age 70 in the Eastern States. Temple service was her life, and she worked diligently and faithfully until the end. She has now gone to rest for a season from her earthly labors and rejoices there with her loved ones. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, 1994, 11 a.m. at Midvale East 5th Ward Chapel, 240 East 7570 South. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St. and Saturday 10-11 a.m. at the church. Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 So.
