Robert N. Vickrey, age 76, Lizton, died June 4 in Witham Memorial Hospital, Lebanon. Services were June 7 at the Lizton Christian Church of which he was a member. Rev. Susan Deverall officiated. Burial was in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery, Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the church where he had been a member since 1939 and served as an elder and trustee.
Born April 4, 1923 in Marion County, he was the son of William A. and Doris (Runnels) Vickrey. He attended School in Hendricks County.
He married Marjorie Rutledge on May 24, 1947 in Advance. She survives.
He retired from farming in 1989. He had worked at Carson Ford in Brownsburg, and at Don Anderson Auction where he was known as "The Old Man".
He was a Past Grand Chancellor, 1976-77, of the Lizton K. of P. Lodge, president of the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery Association and a member of the Lizton Community Association.
Survivors in addition to his widow are two daughters, Linda K. Randle of Lizton, Ann Cole of Lebanon; a son, Larry Joe Vickrey of New Ross; a sister, Beverly Buis of Brownsburg; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
