She went by her middle name "Cleve" and two of her female relatives were namesakes.

Her sister Mary Louise Derby Haight in Utah named her second daughter Mildred Cleve Haight (Mildred had been the name of their sister Winnifred Derby Layton's first child, who died as an infant).

Her first cousin Augusta Ludlum Mullally named her youngest daughter Barbara Cleve Mullally, though a disagreement with her husband John Francis Mullally resulted in a birth certificate showing simply "Cleve Mullally". John Mullally always called his daughter Claire instead of Cleve, and after Augusta's death the name change to Claire was permanent.

Cleve Tallman was widowed on May 2, 1926, when her first husband accidentally fell into the swift Minam river near a lumber company dam. He was pulled out, but never revived. His newspaper obituary states that he left behind a widow (Cleve) and an adopted daughter (Jessie). Although Cleve was born in Nebraska, the US Census shows that her daughter Jessie's birth mother was born in Michigan. Possibly, Jessie's birth mother was related to Cleve on her mother's side.

Cleve was re-married to Richard Hermon "Roy" Bonney Sr. in 1935, after his first wife Lena Louise Brannian died in 1934.

In the 1940 U.S. Census, Cleve is found to have moved from Union, Oregon to Alameda, California, where her siblings and nieces had earlier moved from Union, Oregon. She was listed as married and working as a housecleaner in private homes. Her daughter Jeanne/Jessie was living with her, as was her step-son Gary Bonney. Her husband was living in Oregon and listed as "Single".

In her second husband's 1942 WWII Draft Registration form, he is listed as living and working at 8311 Hillside Street in Oakland, Calfornia. Further, Cleve's sister, Mrs. S. C. Delap (Mrs. Stearle Constance Delap, aka Mary Louise "May" Derby Haight Delap) is listed as the person who would know how to reach him -- not his wife. It appears they later divorced, as Cleve's death records show her name as Cleve Tallman, and his Oregon death records show his wife's name was Lillian.

Cleve was the mother of three:

Max D. Tallman (1912-1977)
Don Lind Tallman (1915-1922)
Mary Jeanne "Jeanne" Tallman Robertson (1919-1989)

The location of her niche at the Chapel of the Chimes is at the uppermost tier, just at the ceiling, about 10 feet up, and her name can be seen only from a certain angle. A ladder would be needed to take a photo with her name clearly seen.

Her sister and her brother-in-law, the S.C. Delaps, along with her nieces, are also enniched at the Chapel of the Chimes, in the very beautiful, sunny, and serene Garden of Eternal Wisdom, which is few hundred feet from Cleve's location.
