VALLEJO (Solano Co.), June 24. Funeral services were conducted here today for James Dunphy, 72, a resident of Vallejo for seventy years, who died in his home Sunday.
Dunphy was a native of Milwaukee, Wis., and was employed for many years as a machinist at Mare Island Navy Yard. After his retirement from the yard, he worked for the Bethlehem Shipbuilding Company in San Francisco. He was the brother of Mrs. E. and Henry Dunphy of Vallejo; Mrs. Annie McPherson, Mrs. Theresa Morelock and Mrs. Ruth Hemminga of San Francisco and George Dunphy of Oakland.
The funeral was conducted in the J. J. McDonald Mortuary with a high mass in St. Vincent's Catholic Church and interment in the St. Vincent's Cemetery.
