Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Gateway Baptist Church with the Rev. Tunis Schuurman officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Beatitudes at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors in Borger.
Mr. Brooks was born in Pauls Valley, Okla., and moved from Dumas to Fritch in 1978. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Fritch.
In 1985, he retired as a butcher.
He married Annette Gibbs in 1960 at Borger.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Tommy Ray Brooks of Atlanta; three daughters, Rhonda Moore of Kildare, Paula Nelson of Dumas, and Deborah Ruppanner of Dalhart; five sisters, Kay York of Oxnard, Calif., Ophelia Darden of Athens, Hattie Reavis of Porterville, Calif., Vera Simpson of Marysville, Calif., and Dorothy Collins of La Feria; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 8 a.m. today until 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Borger.
