Harry Dell Manning Obituary

Harry Dell (Bus) Manning, Sr., 47, died Monday, April 7, at the Geneva Steel Company Dispensary of a coronary thrombosis.

He was born September 12, 1921 in Lehi, a son of George and Nora Thomas Manning.
He married Beth Schoell August 26, 1941 in American Fork. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He was a welder at Geneva Steel Company and also a member of the Safety Committee there. He was a member of the Am. Fork Twelfth Ward. Organizer and first of the coaches of the American Fork Little League Baseball Program. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his widow, American Fork; four sons and one daughter, all of American Fork, Harry Dell (Bussie) Manning jr, Sheldan Manning, Marlow Manning, Sherlin Manning and Lora-lee Manhiiig; his mother, Mrs. Nora Manning, Lehi; three brothers, Keith Manning, Magna; Don Manning, Lehi; Richard Manning, Salt Lake City, three sisters, Mrs. Earl (Dorothy) Sorenson, Am. Fork; Mrs. Arthur (Beatrice) Dustin, Cedar City; and Mrs. Verzell (Florence) Bullock, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 10, at 11 a.m. in the American Fork Twelfth Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Anderson and Sons Mortuary on Thursday until 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the American Fork City Cemetery.
