David Cooke (as he spelled his name originally), moved to Oneida County, New York about 1800.

He married Sarah Spencer, and they had 3 children before she died in April 1808.

He then married Eunice Wright, daughter of Deacon Samuel Wright and Vienna Bond, on 12 May 1808 in Westmoreland, Oneida County, NY.

Eunice Wright died 9 Feburary 1839 in Verona, Onieda Co., NY.

About May 1840, David Cook married Lucy Wright, younger sister of Eunice Wright, in Oneida County New York.

David Cook worked on the Eire Canal for some period of time, according to family stories (this has NOT been proven).

In 1850, he moved to Clinton County, Iowa. Lucy died there in 1856, and David died in 1867. David and Lucy Wright had no children together.
