Pamela E. (Durrett) Irby, age 64, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at Fairview Nursing Home.

She was born on October 3, 1945, at Maumee Valley Hospital to Emma S. (Adam) Durrett and David A. Durrett.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Louis Grisham, Khaleema Amin, Phyllis (Sanford) Stewart, and Juilett (Elbert) Enoch.

Pamela was a faithful member of St. James Baptist Church serving as a Sunday school teacher, and participating in the women's group.

She will always be remembered for her infectious smile, sharp wit, sense of humor and compassion.

Her devotion to her family and friends was a true statement to the kind of person she was. She loved her children and grandchildren.

Pamela was an employee (cosmetologist) at GiGi's Beauty Salon, Lucas County Job's and Family Services and Chrysler/Jeep until retirement in 1996.

Pamela leaves to cherish her memory husband, Minister Ronald S. Irby of 22 years, children, David A. Durrett II, and Mia C. Durrett Irby-Jackson; sister, Charlene Hooks; grandchildren, Angel, Megan, David III and Darius Durrett, Asia, Aloee and Alasia Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews; special friends, Geneva Golson and Geno.

Wake service will be 11a.m. Tuesday followed by funeral service at 12 noon at St. James Baptist Church, Bishop William Murchinson officiant. Burial Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
