son of Michael Moses Beaujean and Antha Peck
This man was the 3rd Charles Peter. His grandfather, b 1755, was also Charles Peter when in the US and Pierre Charles when on Guadeloupe. His Uncle was named "Pierre Charles" on Guadeloupe, the French equivalent of Charles Peter.

In 1832 he was a partner with his brother Eusebius in a lumbering operation:
Book Q, page 458 Deeds, Catskill Court House, Catskill, NY, dated April 12 1832, Cornelius B Stimson and Betsy his wife to Eusebius Baujean and Charles P Baujean, Windham. 45 acres, Saw Mill Brrk, McVicker Patent, Lemuel C Stimson's saw mill.

Charles Peter Beaujean III moved to Chautauqua County, NY with his father and brothers about 1839. He was a farmer. The 1850 agricultural census showed that he had 100 improved acres with 63 unimproved. He raised horses, milch cows, cattle, sheep, and swine. He grew corn, oats, and potatoes and produced 1200 pounds of butter and 200 pounds of maple sugar.
