NEW MARKET, TN- Linda Faye Cavin, 48, formerly of Church Hill, passed away on Friday (November 6, 2009) at the Jefferson Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born and attended school in Honaker, Virginia, she loved to crochet and also enjoyed dogs.
She is preceded in death by her father, Emmette Jun Barton, grandmother, Dorothy Childress, two step sons, Joshua Cavin and Brandy Cavin.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd Cavin, son and daughter in law, Jimmy & Jessica Artrip of Kingsport, step son, Jeff Cavin, two grandchildren, Maddex and Hayden, mother, Shelvie Jean Barton of Anderson, South Carolina, brothers, Darrell and Randy Barton, of Anderson, South Carolina, sister, Lou Thompson of Honaker, Virginia, two step sisters, Sandy Ball of Honaker, Virginia, and Patricia Barton Duty, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 1 to 3:00 P.M. Sunday in at Johnson Funeral Home of Church Hill.
Services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Dustin Dugger officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted following the service at McPheeters Bend Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
