Gregory Lee Bruce

Gregory Lee Bruce of Washington, D.C., and formerly of Roodhouse, died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, 1988, in Washington, D.C.

He was born in Jacksonville, the son of Charles G. and Betty Ann Cannon Bruce.

He is survived by his parents of Roodhouse; a sister, Sheryl LaKamp of Washington, IL; a nephew, Alex LaKamp, and a niece, Jessica LaKamp, both of Washington, IL.

He formerly attended the Roodhouse Assembly of God Church and later attended Christ Church in Washington, D.C. He was the publication editor at the B.D.N. Corp. in McLean, VA.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Roodhouse. The Rev. Billy Steele officiated, vocalist was Norma Vinyard and she sang "Because He Lives". Organist was Jean Coates.

Pallbearers were Robert Dawdy, Gary Ballard, Jeff Strang, Alan Barber, Alen Jacobs, and William Johnson. Burial was in Fernwood Cemetery at Roodhouse.
