Rev. Dr. Melvin Joyner Hill was the son of Rev. Irvin William and Mary Alice (Joyner) Hill. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Jackson) Hill. They were married June 10, 1908. Elizabeth died July 1, 1969. Rev. Dr. Hill was a minister in the Genesee (now Western New York) Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church/The Methodist Church. He was a designer of pipe organs and was associated with William J. Kirkpatrick as co-publisher of a number of books of Gospel songs.
