Jo Alice Orr, 90, of Marble Hill, passed away Nov. 6, 2009, at her home. She was born May 13, 1919, at Steele, Mo., the daughter of Ausie Franklin and Nora Evelyn Jane Pierce Byrd. She married Everett Lonzo Orr at Hayti, Mo. in 1943. He died March 2, 1981.
Jo Alice retired from the Marble Hill Hat Factory and was an active member of Grace Fellowship Family Worship Center in Marble Hill.
She is survived by a son, Robert J. Orr of Marble Hill; a grandson, Robert J. Orr, Jr. of Cape Girardeau, her grandson's mother, Jean Orr of Benton; a step-granddaughter, Theresa Mondy of Marble Hill; a step-grandson, Paul Davis of Cape Girardeau; a great grandson, Jacob Orr, and a sister, Ruby Welch of Tennessee. Three brothers and four sisters predeceased her.
Visitation was Sunday, Nov. 8, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 9, at Grace Fellowship Family Worship Center in Marble Hill with Rev. Michael Sowers officiating. Burial was in Baker Cemetery.
