Bill and Jerry owned and operated Western Nursery for nearly 20 years. Jerry was a loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Jerry's grandchildren and great-grandson were so special to her and she cherished her time with them.
Jerry loved her family and friends very much and was always willing to help out in any way possible. Jerry also enjoyed traveling and seeing new things. In the past few years she traveled to Europe, the Middle-East and Alaska.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hardy Smith, her mother, Ruby Smith, sister, Patty Smith and brother, Herman Smith. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William G. (Bill) Barton of Odessa, sons Glenn Barton and Jim Barton of Odessa, Grand-daughter Jamie McKinlay of Logan, Utah, Grandson, Colin Barton of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Great-grandson Jaxon James McKinlay of Logan, Utah.
Graveside services were held on Friday, February 16, 2007. The family would like to thank the Hospice House of Odessa for their loving care. Arrangements were entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
