Ronald Cook Redding, 68, of Bloomfield, IA, formerly of Downing, MO, passed away November 22, 2006, at the Ottumwa Hospice House in Ottumwa, IA.

The son of Leonard Allen and Roberta Violet (Cook) Redding, he was born on November 24, 1937 in Downing, MO.

He was a 1955 graduate of Downing High School in Downing, MO. He served with the United States Army following graduation.

Survivors include his dearest best friend and companion, Mary Goehring of Bloomfield, IA; four sons, Ricky Redding of Kahoka, MO, Rowdy Redding and wife, Erin of Kahoka, MO, Rusty Redding and wife, Stacie of Kahoka, MO, and Ronald Paul Redding and friend, Mary of Quincy, IL; two brothers, Tom Redding of Downing, MO and Don Redding and wife, Patti of New Hall, CA; one sister, Sandra Stanfield and husband, Lee of Dade City, FL; 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.

Ronald was a rock truck owner and operator.

Funeral services were held on November 25, 2006, at the Downing Christian Church in Downing, MO, with Larry Smith, pastor of the Downing Christian Church officiating. Music was provided by organist Betty Anderson and soloist was Richelle Runyon. Pallbearers were John Mauck, Rick Frederick, Ralph Plenge, Jr., Gary Trump, Gail Farley and J.L. Newland. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Holmes, Harold Trump and Danny Hobbs. Memorials have been established for the donor's choice of Downing Cemetery or Ottumwa Hospice House. Arrangements were under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, MO
