MT. PLEASANT—Services were held Aug. 10 for Dee Melvin Shelley, 45, who died Aug. 6, 1983 in Mountainville.
He was born Sept. 18, 1937 in Mt. Pleasant to David Alexander and Geneva McArthur Shelley. He married Elaine Raeanna Sidwell Sept. 22, 1961 in the Manti LDS Temple. They were divorced in 1978.
He was educated in Mt. Pleasant schools and attended Snow College. He served in the LDS South Eastern Indian Mission in Arizona. He was a chemist and had worked at the IMC Powder Plant at Spanish Fork for 20 years.
He is survived by two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Todd (Connie) Seely, Mt. Pleasant; Sherrie Shelley, Provo; Troy and Deric, both Huntington; one grandson; sisters and brothers, Marion Shelley, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Betty Sumbot, Midvale; Margaret Nimer, San Rafael, Calif.; Allen and Blain, both Mt. Pleasant; Ned Shelley, Sunset; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
