Funeral for William A. "Bill" McLaughlin, 80, of Decatur will be Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. at Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from noon until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. McLaughlin, who died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at Hartselle Medical Center, was born Jan. 18, 1926, in Cook County, Ill., to F.J. McLaughlin and Mae Morris McLaughlin. He was an active member of Saint Ann Catholic Church. He had a distinguished career working for the Alabama State Highway Department, the Alabama State Planning and Industrial Development Board, and the North Alabama Regional Council of Government. He was a certified Planner and a charter member of A.I.C.P.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn B. McLaughlin; two sons, W.A. Bill McLaughlin and Paul J. McLaughlin Sr. and his wife, Carolyn A.; one sister, Kathleen Chatham; and five grandchildren, Kaley, Paul, John, Emily and Mary McLaughlin.
Pallbearers will be nephews
