Marvin entered the Army in 1940 and served in WWII in various campaigns. While landing at Salenro, Italy, he was wounded twice. While hospitalized in Africa, he acted as an interpreter for German prisoners.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Otelia Steitle, brothers; Edwin, Roy, Edgar, Gilbert, sisters; Frieda and Dora.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Posey E. Steitle, sister Anita Pehl, son Ernest and wife Eleanore Steitle, daughters; Jeanette Koble, Karlon and husband Charles Thompson, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
