A funeral mass for Augusta (Gussie) Murrile - Mieth, 85, of Rosenberg will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 9, 2009 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. William D. Bartniski officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.


Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 8, 2009 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.


Gussie was born May 31, 1924 in Hallettsville to August and Theresia (Drexler) Kutach. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she participated in the Catholic Daughters, Altar Society and Young at Heart Senior Citizens. Gussie was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed her ceramics. Known as "Nana" by her grandchildren, Gussie cherished every minute she spent with them. Gussie took pride in her yard and was even granted Yard Of The Month on several occasions. She passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at OakBend Medical Center in Richmond.


Gussie is preceded in death by her first husband of 30 years, Clarence Murrile; parents, August and Theresia Kutach; her grandson, Andrew Murrile; brothers, Rudy, Felix, Pete, Edward and Ben Kutach; and sister, Toni Jetelina.


She is lovingly survived by her husband of 32 years, Allen E. Mieth; children, Laura Althaus and husband, Robert of Bayou Vista, James (Jimmy) Murrile and wife, Jean of East Bernard and Don Murrile and wife, Linda of Richmond; step children, Sharon Mieth of Corpus Christi, David Mieth and wife, Elsa of Helotes, and Terri Kleimann and husband, Scott of Columbus; grandchildren, Jason Althaus and wife, Diana of Cypress, Jared Althaus and wife, Christeyne of Houston, Kimberly Teutsch and husband, Brian of Houston, Greg Murrile and wife, Danna of Louise, Shana Neisner and husband, Troy of Columbus, Dana Stavinoha and husband, Randy of Sealy, Tyler Murrile and wife, Brianne of Rosenberg and Lindsey Murrile of Richmond; step grandchildren, Cody Kleimann of Columbus, Haley Kleimann of Columbus, Kelsey Mieth of Corpus Christi, Nichole Garrett of Bryan; great grandchildren, Brittany, Alexandria, Christopher, Isabella, Bronson, Caleb, Cade, Dylon, Mason, Caylie, Morgan, Kelcie, Alec and Ava Marie; step great grandchildren, Cayne, Rayne, Sierra, Nicholas, Zachery, Tyler Ryan and Mary Beth; brother, Gus Kutach of East Bernard; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.


The family would like to thank all of the nurses, nurses aides and hospital staff for their help, care and compassion that they provided to Gussie and the Murrile-Mieth family.

Pallbearers will include Tyler Murrile, Greg Murrile, Troy Neisner, Randy Stavinoha, Jason Althaus, Jared Althaus.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Teutsch, and great grandsons, Christopher, Caleb, Dylon, Mason, Cade, Alec, Tyler Ryan, Zachery, Bronson, Cayne and Nicholas.
