Mr. Nichols died Friday in his home.
A native of Williamson County, Tex., he had been a Borger resident since 1962. He was a retired Gulf Oil Corporation employee, and a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Owen Wayne Nichols of El Paso, Joe Cruse of Panhandle, and C.D. Giddiens of Wolfe City; four daughters, LaZelle Nichols of Hagerman, N.M., Laura Mae Malone and Lorene Cook, both of Garland, and Joyce Grubbs of Brownsville; two brothers, O.B. Nichols of San Angelo, and Morris Nichols of Temple; two sisters, Mrs. Glenodean Henley of Winters, Mrs. Eva Mae Potter of Abilene; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his fiancee, Mrs. Nina Richmond of Pampa.
Pallbearers will be Chester Andrews, Tom Pearson, Hall Salmon, Ralph Davis, Pat Harvey, Jack Brogdon and L.D. Murry.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Gulf Oil Corporation.
