Mary Nell Almand, age 88, of Loganville, passed away Wednesday May 20, 2009. Funeral Services will be at 2 PM Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church with remains placed in state at 1 PM. Rev. Tommy Jordan will officiate. Burial church cemetery.
Mrs. Almand was a Sunday School teacher at Indian Creek Baptist Church in Stone Mountain and Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Grayson; She was first Director for the Nursery at Indian Creek Baptist Church; Principal of Vacation Bible School for many years, and a Real Estate Agent for Charles Simpson Real Estate Agency in Decatur.
Survivors include husband of 68 years, Joseph Sidney Almand, Sr. of Loganville; sons & daughters in-law: Joseph Sidney Jr. & Sandra Almand, of Lilburn; Phillip & Lorraine Almand of Stone Mountain; daughter & son in-law: Jill & Al LaCross of Greensboro, GA; brothers & sisters in-law: Gene & Marilyn Aderhold of Andrews, NC; Bobby & Shirley Aderhold of Loganville; grandchildren & spouses: Dan Almand, Atlanta; Matt & Brigitte Almand, Suwanee; Jennifer & Woody Long, Dunwoody; Benjamin Almand, Ft.
