Actor. Born Fred Grossinger, he was a well known performer who appeared on more than 150 television shows. He was on “Gunsmoke”, “Days of Our Lives”, “Dragnet 1967”, “Adam-12”, “Dynasty” and NBC’s “Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson for twelve years. His feature film credits included “A Guide to a Married Man” (1967), “Colossus: The Forbin Project” (1970), “Airport” (1970), “Lapin 60” (1972) and “Edge of an Axe” (1988). He also played in more than 50 Broadway and regional theater productions and starred in over 1,000 TV commercials from the late 1950s through the 1980s. He died of a heart attack age 59.
