Mr. George William Fogleman

WHITSETT - Mr. George William Fogleman, 65, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2008, at Moses Cone Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 14 at Tabernacle United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mark Weekley, the Rev. Timothy James, the Rev. Aaron Moss and the Rev. Ned Owens will officiate.

Mr. Fogleman was born in Alamance County, on February 24, 1943, to the late Clarence and Helen Andrew Fogleman. He was a veteran of the National Guard and retired as a guard with the Guilford County Sheriff's Dept. He was also co-founder and retired from Contract Steel of Greensboro. George loved to travel, especially to amusement parks and enjoyed outdoor dramas. He belonged to the YMCA and was an avid walker. He was family oriented and a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Fogleman is survived by his wife, Charlotte Mills Fogleman; sons, Brent Fogleman of Atlanta, Ga., Kevin Fogleman and wife, Wendy, of Burlington; brothers, Earl Fogleman (Ruby) of Sparta, Paul Fogleman (Toni) of Liberty, Bobby Fogleman (Patsy) of Liberty; sisters, Marie Jordan (Art) of Julian, Rachel Wagoner (L.E.) of Snow Camp; mother-in-law, Maxine Mills of Liberty; beloved grandchildren, Natalie and Ethan Fogleman.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, at Forbis & Dick Funeral Home in Pleasant Garden.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle UMC Building Fund, 5601 Liberty Road, Greensboro, N.C. 27406 or to Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adams Way, Randleman, N.C. 27317.
