Steve Hanna, 56, of Norman Park, Ga., passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at Hospice House in Lecanto, Fla.

His celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Baptist Church in Moultrie, Ga., with graveside services 11 a.m. Saturday in Evergreen Cemetery, Kinmundy. Memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice of Moultrie, Ga., Hospice House of Citrus County, Lecanto, Fla., or Alamo Club, Moultrie, Ga. Neal Funeral Home, Kinmundy, is in charge of local arrangements.

Steve was born Dec. 17, 1952, in Lansing, Mich. He was the son of Dr. and Mrs. Dwight Hanna.

He was a very proud member of AA with over 20 years of sobriety.

He leaves behind is little earthly angel, Brianna, age 11. She was the constant light of his life. He also leaves his older angel Stephanie Reid of Texas and four beautiful grandchildren, Hunter, Logan, Keenan and Saylor. Also surviving are his sister, Jan of Lecanto, Fla.; brother, Richard of Rogers, Ark.; nieces, Dreama, Kimberly, Dea, Jana, Kissy and Shiny; and one nephew, Rick. Lifelong friends Barney Craig, Allen Yates and Stanley Carroll have been beside him through all his battles and triumphs of life.

Also serving him were his brothers and sisters in the AA and in his final journey, Angels of Hospice. God has blessed him with many angels and now Kay, his sister, and his mom and dad have greeted him in heaven.
