Bertha moved to Chidester, Arkansas and united to Good Hope AME Church where she worked as a stewardess.She moved to Rockford, Il. in 1978 and united with Allen Chapel AME Church.
She leaves four daughters, Odessa Gulley, Redosha Sowell, Deborah Oates, and Retha Wash; One son, John Alexander; Seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great- grandchildren.
Two sisters,Cadosha Jimerson and Johanna Johnson; one brother, Leroy Jimerson.
