Airplane Wreck In Atlantic City
Kills 2, Injures 1 - August 28, 1986
ATLANTIC CITY — A small airplane that was trying to land early yesterday at Bader Field here crashed into a nearby marsh, killing two Baltimore residents and seriously injuring a third.
Police said the plane, a four-seat, single-engine Piper Cherokee, crashed about 12:05 a.m. about 400 yards south of the eastbound lanes of the Atlantic City Expressway.
The dead were identified as the pilot,
Raymond E. Bolander Jr., 48,
and his front-seat passenger, Mary E. Berends, 30.
A back-seat passenger, William Eavers, 37, also of Baltimore, was listed in stable condition (yesterday) at Atlantic City Medical Center.
