Funeral services for Blake E. Carnahan of Reasnor were held Friday morning, July 15, 1988, at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton.
The Rev. Tim Miller, pastor of the Reasnor United Methodist Church, conducted services. Burial was in the Hewitt Cemetery.
Blake E. Carnahan, 69, died Tuesday, July 12, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Survivors are his wife, June; a son, Blake "Rick" Carnahan of Lincolnton, N.C.; two daughters, Linda Heitman of Altoona and Mary Lou Dearinger of Reasnor; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, stepmother, a daughter, two brothers and a step-brother.
The son of James Mathew and Mayme Bader Carnahan, he was born March 12, 1919 in rural Jasper County. He was married to June Berkenbosch June 12, 1946 in Kansas City, Mo.
