ROCK HILL - Mrs. June Bullman Parsons, 84, passed away Tuesday, Oct.13, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 15, at St. Matthias Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Alice Haynes officiating. Entombment will be at 4 p.m., at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, S.C. A native of Spartanburg, Mrs. Parsons was a daughter of the late George Dewey Bullman and Josephine Thompson Bullman. She was a member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church. She was a United States Navy WAVE and served during World War II. Mrs. Parsons was the manager of World Finance in Rock Hill and Spartanburg for many years. She was the widow of Jack Westmoreland of Woodlief, S.C.Mrs. Parsons is survived by her husband, Charles R. Parsons of the home; her daughter, Cindy O'Quinn of Spartanburg; and two stepdaughters, Jeanette Harper of Rock Hill and Charlene Pittman of York, S.C.; her sister, Carolyn Byrne of Atlanta, Ga.; her grandson, Stephen O'Quinn of Spartanburg; four step-grandchildren, and three-step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Bullman of North Carolina. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m., Thursday, October 15, prior to the service at the church and also at 3:15 p.m., prior to the graveside service in Spartanburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthias Episcopal Church, 535 Hollis Lakes Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732; or to the charity of one's choice.
