Mr. Roy Calhoun Carter, 86, died Tuesday, March 28, 2000, in Wade.
Mr. Carter was born Dec. 20, 1913, in Jackson County and was retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula. He was a longtime member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers No. 693 and a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ina Belle Cox Carter of Wade; a daughter, Clarene Holcomb of Leakesville; two sons, Alex Carter of Ocean Springs and Terry Carter of Atlanta; a sister, Lola Mae Nelson of Moss Point; and three grandchildren.
A service will be at 10 a.m. today at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point with burial in Johnson Cemetery in Wade.
