Julie Renee Hicks, 54, of 108 Marianna Ave., died Nov. 3, 2009, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.She was born June 22, 1955, in Albia to William "Bill" C. and Willadene Tate Hicks.She had been an employee of Tenco Industries since November 1980 and attended the Cheerful Center. She enjoyed participating in Respite and loved bowling and swimming.She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.Surviving are her mother, Willadene Hicks; three sisters, Carolyn (Terry) Leonard of Ottumwa, Karen (Jerald) Harter of Hedrick, Terrie (Greg) Howard of Kirksville, Mo.; a brother, Chris (Jane) Hicks of Ottumwa; three nieces and five nephews, Stephanie Howard of Kirksville, Mo., Nathan Hicks of Des Moines, Jacob Hicks, Katie Hicks, Bill (Robin) Leonard, Matt Leonard, Chelsea Harter, all of Ottumwa, and Christopher Harter of Hedrick; a great-niece and two great-nephews, Hunter, Garrett and Zachary.She was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Hicks.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home; Joe Selix officiating.
